As embarrassing as it might be, I feel compelled to explain why I have been neglecting my writing. I took a bad fall in April, all the way down the basement stairs and cracked my head open. Fortunately, I didn't break any bones, but I did have 5 staples in my head. For anyone who has ever taken a fall, you know it happens so quickly that you can't react. My hands were full, so there was nothing I could do to stop myself. I take a little pride in the fact that I learned how to fall in gymnastics when I was younger, so I essentially rolled down the stairs instead of bouncing around like a Plinko chip! My silver lining? I was not subjected to the same fate as Olivia James in Love After Life, and my description of Olivia's fall was spot on!
