Biography

Diane E (Vetrone) Young, originally from Rome, New York, graduated from Rome Free Academy High School and went on to attend The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She was initially enrolled as a Music Education major, but took a leap of faith and changed her major in hopes of pursuing her lifelong dream of writing full-time. Diane graduated with a BA in English Writing and a minor in American Politics. She entered the work force and performed successfully in an array of jobs including accounting, collections and customer escalations, but spent her lunch hour every day working on her novels. In 2018, the opportunity to write full-time presented itself unexpectedly.

Diane published her first book, Wednesday Wine Club in 2019. A murder mystery with romantic undertones, Wednesday Wine Club is receiving positive reviews. Her premier publication was followed up with the release of Soulmates which is strictly romance. Two additional works were released in 2020 including Soulmates II, sequel to the original romance Soulmates, and The Haunted Boathouse, a murder mystery. Both are receiving outstanding reviews with 5-star ratings.

Diane is married and has two children. She resides in Liverpool, New York and enjoys her daily routine as stay-at-home mother, full-time author and guardian to her Vizsla “Darwin.”  Some people sarcastically allude to their work as “living the dream.” After undergoing open-heart surgery at a relatively young age, Diane believes every day is a gift and an opportunity to “live her dream.” In 2022, Diane’s writing career was impeded by the necessity of a second open-heart surgery. She recovered well and returned to writing in 2024, with the release of a unique murder mystery entitled Love After Life. All titles are available in paperback and e-book format through Amazon.com. The release of Soulmates III is planned for 2025.
