Diane E. (Vetrone) Young is originally from Rome, New York. She graduated from Rome Free Academy High School and went on to attend The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. While she was initially enrolled as a Music Education major, she took a leap of faith and changed her major in hopes of pursuing her lifelong dream of writing full-time. Diane graduated with a BA in English Writing and a minor in American Politics. While she worked corporately in collections, customer service and escalations for years, she spent her lunch hour every day writing novels. In 2018, the opportunity to write full-time presented itself unexpectedly.
Diane published her first book, Wednesday Wine Club in 2019. A murder mystery laced with romance, Wednesday Wine Club is a fun choice for book clubs. This premier publication was followed-up with the release of the Soulmates series, which is strictly romance. Diane has published two subsequent murder mysteries as well, The Haunted Boathouse and Love After Life, both of which sport covers created by local artists.
Diane is married and has two children. She resides in Liverpool, New York and enjoys her daily routine as a stay-at-home mother, full-time author and guardian to her Vizsla "Darwin." After undergoing two open-heart surgeries at a relatively young age, Diane believes every day is a gift and an opportunity to live her dream. Planned releases for 2026 include Soulmates IV and a suspenseful thriller! All titles are available in paperback and e-book format.
